REMBE® rad-net to compete in the Belgian Classics

For the REMBE® rad-net team, too, the Belgian classics are the main focus these days.

The REMBE® rad-net team is competing in several races.
The women will compete today at Nokere Koerse (UCI 1.Pro) and on Sunday at the Midwest Cycling Classic (UCI 1.1); the men will be racing at the Youngster Coast Challenge (UCI 1.2U).
Last week, Selma Lantzsch already achieved a strong result at the GP Oetingen (UCI 1.Pro). The team hopes to build on that success this Wednesday at Nokere Koerse. The two races are similar in terms of their cobblestone sections—and, with twelve WorldTour teams alone, feature nearly identical fields. The REMBE® rad-net women will face top stars like Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx-Protime) and Charlotte Kool (Fenix-Premier Tech) in the 133-kilometer classic from Deinze to Nokere. The high-level race will be broadcast on Eurosport starting at 5:30 p.m., and a livestream will be available on Discovery+ starting at 12:15 p.m. The Midwest Classic will be held for the second time this coming Sunday. The 138-kilometer route between Tielt and Oostrozebeke crosses the Poelberg and Ketelberg several times, but a sprint finish is still expected.

For the men, the first major U23-only race is scheduled for Friday. The Youngster Coast Challenge will be held as part of the Bredene Koksijde Classic professional race. The 175-kilometer route from Bredene to Koksijde runs almost entirely over flat terrain—with the exception of the Baneberg, Monteberg, and Kemmelberg climbs roughly halfway through the race. The course is also considered very windy. The REMBE® rad-net squad will be led by Jermaine Zemke, who has posted numerous strong results in recent weeks—including a stage win at the Tour du Rwanda. “We want to build on last year’s great result, when Bruno Keßler finished sixth, and get one of our guys into the lead group,” says Fabian Peplau, sports director of the REMBE® rad-net team. “We also want to present ourselves well as a team, so that the guys ride together on the windward side and on the cobblestone climbs, support each other, and position the leaders well.”
