REMBE® rad-net Kicks Off the Tour of Germany with High Spirits
The REMBE® rad-net team will be in action starting tomorrow at the Lidl Deutschland Tour.
Johannes Adamietz, Leon Arenz, Benjamin Boos, Julian Borresch, Miguel Heidemann, and Ole Theiler have set their sights high for Germany's most important stage race and are heading into the highlight of the year with confidence.
The race kicks off tomorrow afternoon with a 2.6-kilometer prologue in Bad Orb. The next day, the riders will head to Schwäbisch Hall on the first stage, then continue on to Offenbach an der Queich. The third stage, from Herxheim to Bad Dürkheim, is likely to be the most challenging. The final stage takes place around Heilbronn.
“We want to put on a good show and we certainly won’t be holding back. It’s no secret that in a stage race in Germany, we’ll be joining the breakaway groups and perhaps even competing for a classification jersey. A top-ten finish would be the icing on the cake,” says Fabian Peplau, sports director of Team REMBE® rad-net.
The peloton, consisting of 19 teams in total, includes nine WorldTour teams, such as UAE Emirates-XRG with Isaac Del Toro and Nils Politt, Soudal-Quick Step with Cyclassics winner Paul Magnier and Maximilian Schachmann, and Lidl-Trek with Max Walscheid, Tim Torn Teutenberg, and Giulio Ciccone. The peloton is rounded out by five ProTeams, three German Continental teams, and a German national team. The competition is therefore extremely strong.
The Deutschland Tour will be broadcast live on television. In Germany, the public broadcasters SR, HR, ARD, and ZDF, as well as Eurosport, will cover the event.
