At the opening round of the 2026 “Müller – Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga,” Team REMBE® rad-net narrowly missed the podium.

At the 86th Sachsenring Cycle Race, REMBE® rad-net rider Julian Borresch finished in fourth place.
Just 30 kilometers into the 126-kilometer race, which took place on the 3.5-kilometer motor racing circuit, a three-man breakaway group had formed around Borresch. The trio built up a lead of about a minute and a half over the peloton. About halfway through the race, three more riders caught up from behind, so that there were now six riders at the front, who were ultimately not caught and fought it out among themselves for the win.

“Since I was still laid up with the flu two weeks ago, I didn’t really know where I stood going into the race. But under the circumstances, it actually went well,” said Borresch after the race, adding: “Unfortunately, I just couldn’t keep up with Silas Koech’s final attack.” Koech had attacked alone in the final kilometers and secured the victory with an 18-second lead over his former rivals; Borresch sprinted to fourth place. “Actually, I had hoped for more beforehand, but fourth place is a good result given the conditions.”

This puts Borresch in fourth place in the overall Bundesliga standings. He is currently second in both the mountains and sprints classifications. The next two races in the men’s Bundesliga cycling series will take place on April 25 and 26 in Schweigen and Trier.
