Two more medals to round off the German Track Championships – Next stop: the Cycling Bundesliga at the Nürburgring
The German Track Cycling Championships in Kaarst-Büttgen came to an end for REMBE® rad-net with two further medals.
In total, the German Continental team – comprising both men and women – won nine medals: three gold, three silver and three bronze.
On the final day of competition for the endurance riders at the Sportforum Kaarst-Büttgen, Max-David Briese and Benjamin Boos took silver and bronze respectively in the elimination race, behind Tim Torn Teutenberg (Lidl-Trek). In the women’s event, Hannah Kunz finished seventh, whilst Selma Lantzsch came 15th.
“We’re pleased with the medal haul; the riders put in some good performances. I was particularly delighted with Benjamin Boos’s performance – he defended his title in the scratch race, won bronze in the elimination race and put in a convincing display in the team pursuit. Laura Süßemilch’s title in the points race was also a highlight,” said Lucas Schädlich, sporting director at REMBE® rad-net.
Tomorrow, the REMBE® rad-net team will be back in action on the road. The next round of the “Müller – Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga” takes place at the Nürburgring. The race will be held on the 22-kilometre-long and gruelling Nordschleife section of the famous motor racing circuit, which must be completed five times. With Julian Borresch, Team REMBE® rad-net has the current leader in the overall standings in its ranks and is determined to defend the leader’s jersey.
