Brauße wins Bundesliga criterium in Offenbach – Borresch aims to defend his Bundesliga lead in Bellheim

Franziska Brauße from Team REMBE® rad-net women enjoyed success last weekend at the ‘Müller – Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga’ for women and juniors.

She won the race in Offenbach and came second in Giessen the following day. The men will be competing in the Bundesliga in Bellheim this coming weekend.
Thanks to her results from the weekend, Brauße has moved up to third place in the Bundesliga overall standings with 803 points. Her REMBE® rad-net women team-mate Katharina Palm remains at the top with 964 points, followed by Aileen Schweikart – also of REMBE® rad-net women – with 908 points. In the team standings, REMBE® rad-net women currently sit in third place.

The next Bundesliga points races for the women will take place as part of the three-day Riderman in Bad Dürrheim (4 to 6 September). The men from REMBE® rad-net will be competing for the next Bundesliga points this coming weekend at the 71st Silberpils in Bellheim.

The race in Bellheim is the longest in the Cycling Bundesliga. The circuit is 20 kilometres long and must be completed ten times, making a total distance of 200 kilometres. The race starts at 12.30 pm. Last year, the REMBE® rad-net team secured victory there with Jonathan Rottmann. As well as aiming for another top result, the riders from the Sauerland-based Continental team are also setting out to defend the purple leader’s jersey with Julian Borresch and take the lead in the overall team classification – where the team is just one point behind first place.
