REMBE® rad-net riders in action at the Tour de l'Ain
From today, six riders from the REMBE® rad-net team will be competing in the Tour de l'Ain (UCI 2.1).
Despite the strong line-up with five WorldTour and three ProTeams, the riders want to impress with good performances.
On all three days, the French tour leads over mountainous terrain - which naturally favours climbing specialist Johannes Adamietz. He leads the German squad. He will be supported by Julian Borresch, Miguel Heidemann, Jon Knolle, Roger Kluge and Ole Theiler, who can and should also take advantage of their own opportunities. "We have an experienced team at the start and definitely want to use the race to show ourselves on all stages and also achieve a good result. If Johannes can finish at the front of the overall classification, that would be all the better," says Ralf Grabsch, Sporting Director of the REMBE® rad-net team.
The first stage runs almost entirely over flat terrain - with the exception of the Col de Portes, which is crossed around 30 kilometres before the finish. Stages two and three run entirely through the mountains, with the Col du Grand Colombier, which was also used as a mountain finish in the Tour de France, as the absolute executioner on the final stage.
