Four REMBE® rad-net riders at the start of the Tour Alsace
Four riders from the REMBE® rad-net team are taking part in the Tour Alsace (UCI 2.2) in France from today.
Pepe Albrecht, Leon Arenz, Jonathan Rottmann and Jermaine Zemke will represent the colours of the German national team there.
The round trip in Alsace consists of five sections with a wide variety of challenges. It starts this evening with a 4.3 kilometre time trial in Sausheim, in which teams of three will start. The following day there will be a flat stage starting in Europa-Park Rust and finishing in Selestat. This should suit sprinter Rottmann. Stages three and five end with a mountain finish at Planche des Belles Filles and Champ du Feu, which is Zemke's terrain, while the fourth stage from Ferrette to Altkirsch is rather hilly and appeals to several rider profiles.
"Jermaine is our man for the overall classification. The two or three difficult sections suit him and he's in good form," says Ralf Grabsch, sporting director of Team REMBE® rad-net and national U23 coach.
The national team is completed by Henri Appelbaum (Tirol-KTM) and Eike Behrens (Stevens).
