REMBE® rad-net competes with top professionals at Tour de Luxembourg
This week sees another highlight in the REMBE® rad-net team's racing calendar.
Starting today, the Sauerland-based Continental team will be competing in the 85th edition of the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg, which, like the Tour of Germany, is a UCI category 2.Pro race.
REMBE® rad-net will be competing in this highly competitive tour with a mix of young and experienced riders. The REMBE® rad-net team will be led by the newly crowned German mountain champion Johannes Adamietz and Bundesliga overall winner Ole Theiler. Julian Borresch is another experienced rider who will thrive on Luxembourg's hilly terrain, as will young talents Leon Arenz, Pepe Albrecht and Jermaine Zemke.
"We are very pleased to be able to compete in the Tour of Luxembourg. Our young riders in particular will be able to measure themselves against some top professionals there," says Fabian Peplau, sporting director of the REMBE® rad-net team. Eight WorldTour teams will be at the start, along with seven ProTeams, four Continental teams and the Luxembourg national team. The top stars include Olympic champion Richard Carapaz, Ben Healy (both EF Education-EasyPost), 2020 Giro d'Italia winner Tao Geoghegan Hart (Lidl-Trek) and Nils Politt (UAE-Team Emirates-XRG).
The Tour de Luxembourg lasts a total of five days and starts and finishes in the capital city of Luxembourg. All stages, ranging from 150 to 175 kilometres in length, cover undulating to hilly terrain. The fourth stage is a 26.3-kilometre individual time trial.
