REMBE® rad-net competes in Turul Romaniei in Romania
The REMBE® rad-net team will be back on the road in Romania tomorrow, Wednesday.
The Sauerland team will start the Turul Romaniei, a UCI category 2.2 stage race, with a six-strong squad.
The REMBE® rad-net colours are represented by Moritz Binder, Felix Groß, Vincent John, Jon Knolle, Maxim Roor and Jonathan Rottmann. For John, this is his first international race since early May, when he crashed in Denmark and was subsequently plagued by knee problems.
The tour lasts a total of five days and leads from Craiova to the capital Bucharest. Four of the five stages feature flat to undulating terrain, which naturally suits sprinters like Rottmann or breakaway riders like Knolle or John. A preliminary decision on the overall victory is expected as early as the second day, as the stage ends with a mountain finish in Piatra Arsa.
Groß is also in good form at the moment. Last weekend, he narrowly missed out on the podium at the European Derny Championships in Erfurt, finishing fifth in a hard-fought final in which his national team colleague Moritz Augenstein took gold.
