Heidemann nominated for Road World Championships

Miguel Heidemann from Team REMBE® rad-net has been nominated by the German Cycling Federation for the Road World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda.

Time trial specialist Miguel Heidemann has been nominated for the Road World Championships in Rwanda.
The 27-year-old will compete in all three disciplines.
Having already won a complete set of medals in the mixed relay at the European Championships and silver and bronze in the relay at the World Championships, Heidemann dreams of winning gold at a World Championships. In addition to the relay, Heidemann will also compete in the individual time trial and the road race.

"I am very happy that I have regained the confidence of the association. This is already my fifth World Championship start, and I think that's not something to be taken for granted. I am really looking forward to flying to Rwanda and giving my best," said Heidemann. "My goal is first and foremost to deliver a solid time trial. And then we'll start with five people who were also there last year when we won the silver medal, and we're highly motivated for the relay, which is one of my favourite disciplines. I hope that we'll acclimatise well on site and be able to deliver top performances again so late in the season."

The World Championships will be held in Africa for the first time and will take place from 21 to 28 September. The individual time trial will take place right at the start, with the mixed relay scheduled for Wednesday, 24 September. The road race will conclude on 28 September.
