REMBE® rad-net wants to defend its lead in the German Cycling League at the Nürburgring
Led by the wearer of the purple leader's jersey, Ole Theiler, the REMBE® rad-net team will start next Sunday in the "Müller - Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga" at Rad am Ring on the Nürburgring.
The fourth of a total of seven races in the series heralds the start of the second half of the season.
Miguel Heidemann from Team REMBE® rad-net is likely to have particularly fond memories of last year's race on the famous motor racing circuit, which he won single-handedly. Accordingly, the 27-year-old is also one of the favourites this year. But the difficult course will also suit his REMBE® rad-net team-mates Johannes Adamietz, Ole Theiler, Julian Borresch and Jermaine Zemke. The race takes place on the 22 kilometre long Nordschleife. There are 580 metres of elevation gain per lap and the steepest point on the Hohe Acht has a gradient of 17 percent. A total of five laps, i.e. 110 kilometres, have to be completed.
In addition to the overall lead with Ole Theiler, Team REMBE® rad-net currently also holds the sprint (Jonathan Rottmann) and mountain (Miguel Heidemann) jerseys, as well as leading the team classification. "Of course we want to defend our lead - ideally with another triumph at the Nürburgring," says Lucas Liß, Sporting Director at REMBE® rad-net.
