Rottmann best German at Münsterland Giro – Albrecht wins sprint classification

In the last major German road race of the season, the Sparkassen Münsterland-Giro (UCI 1.Pro), the REMBE® rad-net team once again delivered impressive performances.

Jonathan Rottmann sprinted to twelfth place in the Münsterland Giro.
Jonathan Rottmann was the best German rider in the victory of top favourite Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck), and Pepe Albrecht won the sprint classification.
Much of the race was dominated by a three-man breakaway group, which did not include any REMBE® rad-net riders. However, the breakaway riders were caught up again 45 kilometres before the finish line. The sprinters' teams then controlled the pace in the peloton. With around 20 kilometres to go, the only sprint classification of the day was on the agenda. Albrecht attacked from far behind and narrowly prevailed.

After 192 kilometres, the race was decided in a mass sprint. Rottmann had positioned himself well and sprinted to a respectable twelfth place, leaving some established professionals behind him.
