REMBE® rad-net women kick off the 2026 Cycling Bundesliga – First highlight for the men around Cologne

Following the men’s race, the female riders of Team REMBE® rad-net will also be competing in the 2026 ‘Müller – Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga’ this week.

The REMBE® rad-net team is competing in several races.
For the men, the first major German race of the season is also on the programme for Sunday: the 108th edition of the classic Rund um Köln (UCI 1.1).
For the women, Germany’s premier road cycling series features eleven races on the calendar. The season kicks off with four consecutive races in Waldburg, Bad Schussenried, Berghülen and Überherrn. In Bad Schussenried, riders with time trial skills will be in demand over a 15-kilometre course, whilst the other three days will feature road races over 87, 87 and 99 kilometres. This is followed by traditional races such as the one in Karbach or the RiderMan trilogy in Bad Dürrheim, which will once again mark the conclusion of the Bundesliga this year.

The riders from REMBE® rad-net are among the favourites. Katharina Palm has already won the league once before. “We naturally want to prove ourselves through our performance, as we aspire to be the best German Continental team. Given the potential of our riders, that is not an unrealistic goal,” says Dirk Schlosser, sporting director of the REMBE® rad-net team. “That’s why we want to be major contenders in the Bundesliga right from the start and perhaps even win it in the end. We’re approaching the races with a great deal of motivation.” REMBE® rad-net women will compete with a full squad in the first four races.

On Sunday, Rund um Köln marks the first highlight of 2026 for the men. The 191-kilometre race starts in Cologne at the Rheinauhafen and then takes riders through the Bergisches Land on a demanding route featuring climbs such as Ferrenberg, Agathaberg and the legendary Bensberg. REMBE® rad-net will field a mix of young and more experienced riders centred around Johannes Adamietz, Miguel Heidemann and Jermaine Zemke, for whom the course suits. They will face a strong field of competitors, including four WorldTeams and six ProTeams. “We don’t want to hide away and aim to put our best foot forward in this race. If we ride strongly as a team, we might just achieve a good result,” said Fabian Peplau, sporting director at REMBE® rad-net.
