REMBE® rad-net on the podium in Portugal with Keßler and in Japan with Knolle

Team REMBE® rad-net has achieved two international podium places in the past few days.

Bruno Keßler at the Beiras and Serra da Estrela International Grand Prix.
Bruno Keßler sprinted to third place today at the Grande Prémio Internacional Beiras e Serra da Estrela (UCI 2.1) in Portugal. Jon Knolle also finished third at the Tour of Japan (UCI 2.2) last Wednesday.
The riders from REMBE® rad-net helped to determine the first stage of the three-day Portuguese stage race from Almeida to Penamacor over 191 kilometres: Pepe Albrecht was part of the day's four-man breakaway group, but was caught 35 kilometres before the finish. His team-mate Ole Theiler then broke away from the peloton on his own, had a one-minute lead at one point, but was caught again with two kilometres to go. In the sprint, Keßler only had to give way to Guillermo Silva and Fernando Barcelo (both Caja Rural-Seguros RGA).

As a result, Keßler is currently in third place in the overall standings and holds the white jersey of the best young rider.

Knolle was also a breakaway rider at the Tour of Japan. On the third stage, he made it into the five-man lead group of the day, which formed shortly after the start. The attackers were able to stay ahead of the peloton and sprinted to victory in the end. Only Rui Udagawa (Aisan) and Aiman Cahyadi (Terengganu) were faster than Knolle after 137 kilometres between Mino and Kamino.

Knolle's REMBE® rad-net team-mates have also finished in the top ten in Japan: Lennart Voege sprinted to sixth place on the first stage, Johannes Adamietz came tenth on the fourth stage and Adamietz finished eighth on today's queen stage, which ended on Mount Fuji. Ahead of the last two stages, Adamietz is also in the top ten in the overall standings in seventh place.
