Tomorrow, Friday, the two-day Sixdays Weekend begins in Berlin, with Theo Reinhardt from Team REMBE® rad-net bidding farewell in the Velodrom, as it will be the last race of his career. He will compete together with his REMBE® rad-net team-mate Roger Kluge.
Reinhardt wants to finish his career at the top of the podium once again. The duo wants to take the overall victory in the Berlin Velodrom. "We're starting to win again," says Kluge. "We're particularly motivated here at home now. Theo has worked hard again over the winter for Berlin. I'm sure that he's in good shape and so the conditions are already in place for us to compete for victory." The main rivals of the two REMBE® rad-net riders are Yoeri Havik/Philip Heijnen from the Netherlands and the Italians Elia Viviani/Michele Scartezzini.

For Reinhardt, the farewell in Berlin will be a special one: "Being able to end my career in Berlin, the city of my birth, is a great gift. I reckon it will be very emotional. I used to sit in the stands at the Berlin Velodrom as a youngster and cheer on the big boys at the six-day races, developing dreams and visions that I was fortunate enough to be able to realise. The velodrome can be a real cauldron. Then it's incredible to be a rider on this track. There were quite a few moments when I actually had goosebumps on the bike because the atmosphere was so great."

Felix Groß from Team REMBE® rad-net is also represented in the six-day field. He will be riding alongside Dutchman Roy Eefting. Two other riders from the REMBE® rad-net team were also due to start in Berlin. However, Benjamin Boos and Bruno Keßler were involved in the serious training accident involving the German national track team on Mallorca and have been ruled out.start in Berlin.
