Boos wins DM title in Scratch

REMBE® rad-net rider Benjamin Boos is the new German Scratch Champion.

Benjamin Boos (centre) won the DM title in scratch.
At the title fights in Dudenhofen, the 21-year-old thus made a successful comeback from the serious injury he suffered in the serious training accident involving the German national track cycling team in Mallorca at the end of January.
Boos had broken away from the field during the race with Paul-Jonas Adamczak (RSC Cottbus) and Tobias Eise (TGV Schotten) and gained a lap. In the final sprint, he clearly relegated his two rivals to second and third place. ‘We were able to pull away at an unexpected moment and keep it up until the end,’ said a delighted Boos, who is now slowly but steadily improving again: "Mentally I'm doing well again, but physically it's still a bit tough. I can feel the strain. That's why I'm very happy about the title."

In addition, the final endurance competition at this year's Track German Championships was held today with the points race. Roger Kluge finished sixth as the best rider for Team REMBE® rad-net, while Richard Leu (RSC Cottbus) celebrated victory.

In total, Team REMBE® rad-net won seven medals at the 138th German Track Championships - three gold, two silver and two bronze
