World and European champion Theo Reinhardt ends his career

The Berliner has been part of the team since it was founded under the name rad-net ROSE.

Theo Reinhardt retires from cycling.
The two six-day events in Bremen (10 to 13 January) and Berlin (31 January to 1 February) will be Reinhardt's last two races for Team REMBE® rad-net.
In his twelve seasons with the team, Reinhardt has won numerous major victories. He celebrated his greatest successes in the two-man team race, winning bronze at the World Championships with his then team-mate Henning Bommel back in 2013. He then went on to become world champion with Roger Kluge in 2018 and 2019, third again at the 2020 World Championships and finally European champion in the discipline in 2022, 2023 and 2024. But the 34-year-old was also an integral part of the German track squad. Reinhardt rode to European Championship silver with the quartet in 2012 and 2014. He also competed with the foursome at the 2016, 2021 and 2024 Olympic Games.

"I'm very proud of what I've achieved in my career. But at the age of 34, the time has now come to retire. Being able to end my career in Berlin, the city of my birth, is a great gift," said Reinhardt, who will compete alongside Kluge once again at the two-day six-day event in Berlin - as in Bremen. And there they want to compete for victory one last time.

"Theo is a rider who, as a founding member, has helped shape and mould the team from the very beginning. He not only made us proud with his numerous successes, but also taught the next generation a lot. We are very grateful to Theo for this and wish him all the best for the rest of his life," says Ulrich Müller, Managing Director of REMBE® rad-net.

Theo Reinhardt will remain involved in cycling - but he has not yet decided in what capacity.
