The riders from the REMBE® rad-net women team have once again made their mark on the "Müller – Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga".
In summery temperatures, the field quickly thinned out on the roughly 17-kilometre circuit, which had to be completed six times. After around 60 kilometres, Palm attacked and broke away on her own. She extended her lead over the nearest chasers to as much as four minutes. In the final lap, her team-mates Aileen Schweikart and Karoline Goldschmidt also broke away, finishing second and third, one and a half minutes behind.

“The race was tough,” said Palm. “Our plan was to ride an active race again. When I attacked, I’d hoped that other riders would catch up from behind. But as my lead kept growing, I knew I’d probably have to go it alone. I’m delighted that Aileen and Karoline also managed to break away and that we were able to celebrate a triple victory.”

Palm now leads the overall standings with 804 points, ahead of the previous leader Schweikart, who has 802 points to her name. Goldschmidt follows in third place with 651 points. Selma Lantzsch is fifth with 561 points. REMBE® rad-net women also remain in the lead in the team standings, although they were not ranked in the daily team classification because, following Hannah Kunz’s withdrawal due to illness, the mandatory U23 rider was missing.

The next Bundesliga race will take place as part of the German Time Trial Championships in Streufdorf at the end of June.

Meanwhile, Iana-Alesia Baltes celebrated another success, securing the title at the Romanian Women’s U23 Championships. For the newly founded REMBE® rad-net women team, this was also their first national title win.
