REMBE® rad-net riders secure two victories in Mallorca
The REMBE® rad-net team secured two victories in Mallorca in the national race series “Un Hivern a Mallorca.”
Jermaine Zemke won in Arta, Leon Arenz was successful in Cala Millor.
The REMBE® rad-net riders dominated the Trofeu Arta race. Arenz broke away from the pack and led the 127-kilometer race for around 70 kilometers. He was then joined by four other riders, including his teammate Zemke. Shortly afterwards, Zemke attacked with another rider from the group, shook him off 25 kilometers before the finish line, and won the race on his own, while the rest of the group was caught up by the pack.
The next day, at the Trofeu Cala Millor, the field was selected on a climb of around one and a half kilometers with a technical descent. This resulted in a three-man breakaway led by Arenz, who reached the finish half a minute ahead of the main field. Arenz was the fastest in the final sprint. Max-David Briese finished fifth and Zemke took eighth place.
“We competed in the races with our young riders and were able to try out some tactics with them. These were good races for their further development,” summarized Ralf Grabsch, sporting director of the REMBE® rad-net team.
