REMBE® rad-net kicks off the 2025 international racing season in Croatia
After the successful start to the season in Mallorca, the first UCI races are now on the calendar for the riders of the REMBE® rad-net team.
From today, Wednesday, Team REMBE® rad-net will be competing in races in Croatia and the Netherlands.
First up on the programme today is the one-day Umag Trophy (UCI 1.2). The 142.3-kilometre race leads over a 28-kilometre circuit around Umag, which has to be completed five times. Due to the profile, a sprint finish is expected. The second Croatian one-day race, the Poreč Trophy (UCI 1.2) on Sunday, has a more mountainous profile on the 146 kilometres from Poreč to Tar. Team REMBE® rad-net will therefore be starting with a mixture of fast riders and riders who are better suited to the mountains. The squad will be led by Johannes Adamietz, with Pepe Albrecht, Jonathan Rottmann, Leon Arenz, Bruno Keßler and Jermaine Zemke also taking part.
The two one-day races will be followed by the four-day Istrian Spring Tour (UCI 2.2). Adamietz, Albrecht, Arenz, Rottmann, Zemke and Miguel Heidemann will be in action there. The stage race will take place from 13 to 16 March.
‘Of course, we want to take the motivation and positive approach from the races in Mallorca to the races in Croatia. If we perform just as well as a team there, that would be a good basis for success,’ says Ralf Grabsch, Sporting Director of Team REMBE® rad-net. The races this year are very well-staffed, so it will be ‘no walk in the park’, Grabsch knows. ‘But we are well prepared and I think that we will make a good impression in the races. With Adamietz and Heidemann, we have a strong double lead in the tour.’
Parallel to the Porec Trophy, the 180 kilometre Dorpenomloop Rucphen (UCI 1.2) will also take place in the Netherlands next Sunday. Team REMBE® rad-net will also be competing there with a strong team, led by Mallorca overall winner Ole Theiler. He will be supported by Julian Borresch, Vincent John, Maxim Roor, Jon Knolle and Lennart Voege.
