REMBE® rad-net at the start of several UCI races on the first weekend in May

Team REMBE® rad-net will be in action at numerous races over the first weekend in May.

Team REMBE® rad-net will be competing in several UCI races on the first weekend in May.
The highlight is the U23 edition of the German cycling classic Eschborn-Frankfurt tomorrow, 1 May, but there are also UCI races in Austria and Denmark on the calendar.
In Eschborn-Frankfurt, 129 challenging kilometres are on the programme for the U23 riders and the Feldberg, which has to be conquered twice, characterises the route profile. The route then leads back to Frankfurt city centre, where the finish line is located in front of the Alte Oper. There it may well come to a decision in the sprint again and with Bruno Keßler and Jonathan Rottmann, REMBE® rad-net has two very fast men with it. Traditionally, the race in the UCI category 1.2U is filled with many national and international strong riders in the U23 class. ‘We want to compete with them and achieve a good result,’ says Ralf Grabsch, sporting director of the REMBE® rad-net team.

The GP Vorarlberg (UCI 1.2) will also take place on 1 May in Nenzing, Austria. Team REMBE® rad-net will be relying on its classics specialists Miguel Heidemann, Ole Theiler, Julian Borresch and Jon Knolle as well as climber Johannes Adamietz on the very profiled course with some tough climbs. Knolle already put in a strong performance last weekend when he finished second in the Cherry Blossom Race in Wels. Almost the same line-up will then contest the Flèche Ardennaise (UCI 1.2) in Belgium two days later. There are also two one-day races in Denmark next weekend, the Grand Prix Herning (UCI 1.2) and the Fyn Rundt (UCI 1.2) on the island of Funen. Although both races take place over rather flat terrain, they have a lot to offer: gravel sections (Herning) and wind on the coast (Funen) will be decisive factors here. Team REMBE® rad-net will be competing with a young team centred around Keßler. At the same time, Roger Kluge will be in action on 30 April and 1 May at the Spurt in den Mai in Kaarst-Büttgen, which traditionally consists of a track and road race. Last year, Kluge won together with Theo Reinhardt, who has since ended his career. This time, Kluge will ride together with Tim Torn Teutenberg, with whom he is the reigning Madison world champion.
