REMBE® extends contract ahead of schedule - Brilon-based medium-sized company remains loyal to the Sauerland Continental cycling team until at least 2028

Team REMBE® rad-net can continue to rely on its proven title sponsor REMBE®.

The REMBE® rad-net team will continue to be supported by REMBE in the coming years.
The Brilon-based global market leader in process safety and explosion protection, which has been supporting the team from Sauerland since 2023, has now extended its contract with the team ahead of schedule until at least 2028.
When REMBE® joined Team Sauerland as a title sponsor in 2023, the Brilon-based company was already pursuing bigger plans. According to the industrial safety technology specialists, they not only wanted to promote awareness of cycling and health, but also do something for national pride. "It annoys me that, as a cycling nation, we are the technical market leaders in many disciplines such as electric drives, but have not managed to compete for victory in the grand tours for a quarter of a century," says Stefan Penno, CEO of REMBE®. "With our involvement in the team, we want to set an example, promote young talent and finally see German riders among the world's best again," emphasises Bernd Sudhoff, Managing Director of sister company REMBE Kersting. This is why the collaboration has been sealed until 2028.

Penno continues: "As a small medium-sized company, we can't raise the necessary funds to make it to a Tour de France. We also help a lot with material or services such as marketing strategies. But for the big breakthrough, we need more sponsors. Hopefully some forward-looking companies will read this and get on board."

"We are delighted with the team's current development and want to accompany them on their further journey. We definitely want to support Team REMBE® rad-net and its talents in this Olympic cycle and hope to be a long-term partner beyond that. After the team had four athletes competing in Paris 2024, it would be great to maintain this quota for Los Angeles 2028. America is an important market for us and we can also utilise the team there in terms of marketing. The promotion of young talent, which is traditionally a fundamental part of the team, is also very important to us as a company," emphasises Sudhoff.

Team Manager Jörg Scherf and the two Managing Directors Ulrich Müller and Heiko Volkert are also delighted about the contract extension with REMBE®. "We are proud that REMBE is the second major partner after Lapierre to commit to the team on a long-term basis and would like to thank them for their trust. Together, we are pursuing the goal of taking the next step towards the ProTeam. The contract extension should also be seen as a sign that we are working on our ambitions."
