Klein and Süßemilch complete REMBE® rad-net women
Lisa Klein and Laura Süßemilch, two more top stars of German women's cycling, are joining the new REMBE® rad-net women team. Klein is an Olympic champion, world champion, and European champion, while Süßemilch has already won world and European titles.
Lisa Klein's list of achievements is long. She was already successful on the track as a junior, then focused mainly on road racing for a while, competing in major races such as the Tour of Flanders and the Giro d'Italia. In addition to numerous stage wins and the German championship title in road racing and individual time trials, she also won the world championship title in team time trials and mixed relays, among other things. She eventually returned to the track and celebrated her greatest success: like her future teammate Franziska Brauße, she was part of the gold medal-winning quartet at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. “I see the REMBE® rad-net team as an opportunity, because I am convinced that I can combine my track program and the highlights there perfectly with road racing and receive the appropriate support,” said Klein, who will continue to focus on her favorite discipline, the team pursuit. “That's why I'm also looking forward to a good time with the other riders and to being able to compete in a few road races with my four teammates and present the team well there.”
Laura Süßemilch has also won numerous titles on the track since her time in the junior classes and focused on team pursuit from an early age. Her greatest successes are the World and European Championship titles with the German quartet in 2021, which were followed by several other international medals. But the 28-year-old wants even more and sees the best conditions for this at Team REMBE® rad-net women. "I am really looking forward to the coming season and hope to take another step forward in my development. A good racing program and an environment that provides me with optimal support in combining track and road cycling are crucial for this – I am convinced that REMBE® rad-net offers exactly these conditions and makes it possible to perfectly coordinate both disciplines. The goal is to focus specifically on challenging road races in parts of the season and to perform well there. At the same time, these phases should create an important foundation for me to optimally prepare for the season highlight on the track in October 2026."
This completes the REMBE® rad-net women team for the 2026 season. It will consist of eight riders, who are a mix of experienced and very successful athletes as well as young talents. “We are convinced that this is exactly the right mix. We can offer our stars the right foundation and infrastructure to continue on their successful path and prepare for their big goals. The young women have role models in their own team from whom they can learn a lot.”
