Boos ninth at Umag Classic
The REMBE® rad-net team got off to a good start in the Croatian races.
Benjamin Boos sprinted into the top ten at the Umag Classic (UCI 1.2).
Previously, his REMBE® rad-net teammate Paul-Felix Petry had helped shape the action in the 142-kilometer race around Umag. He had broken away from the main field with another rider and led the race until 50 kilometers before the finish. After that, everything came down to a sprint finish. Boos was well positioned by his final lead-out man Moritz Binder and crossed the finish line in ninth place, while Adam Bradac (Factor) and Dusan Rajovic (Solution Tech-Nippo-Rali) shared the victory after the jury was unable to determine a winner.
The next Croatian one-day race is scheduled for next Sunday. The Poreč Classic (UCI 1.2) has a slightly more mountainous profile over the 142 kilometers from Poreč to Tar, most of which are completed on a 17-kilometer circuit.
