REMBE® rad-net rider Vincent John won the Erzgebirgsrundfahrt last year and is starting the race with corresponding ambitions.
"The Erzgebirgsrundfahrt is my home race, which gives me extra motivation. We're entering the race with an extremely strong team and naturally want to be at the front again this year," says the 20-year-old, who lives in Zschopau. Julian Borresch only just missed out on the podium in fourth place in 2024. Johannes Adamietz also enjoys the hilly race and has already finished in the top ten twice.
REMBE® rad-net also has Ole Theiler, the overall leader of the German Cycling League, in its ranks after he won the Bundesliga opener in Schweigen. On top of this, Jonathan Rottmann and Pepe Albrecht will be wearing the sprint and junior jerseys respectively. The team naturally wants to defend all three jerseys. REMBE® rad-net is currently in second place in the team rankings and wants to conquer the top spot there as well.
This year's race will once again cover a large circuit around Chemnitz-Einsiedel. The racers have to overcome 161 kilometres with around 3000 metres of elevation gain, including the climb up to the Himmelsleiter in Spiegelwald.
