REMBE® rad-net plays a key role in shaping the Tour of Austria – women’s race starts in Belgium
The REMBE® rad-net team achieved some good results at the Tour of Austria (UCI 2.1) and played a key role in shaping the stages.
Mauro Brenner was also named the most active rider of the tour.
Brenner was part of a breakaway on four of the five stages. The breakaway groups managed to build up a lead of several minutes on each occasion, but were always caught by the peloton – which included WorldTour teams such as UAE Team Emirates-XRG, Netcompany-Ineos and Lidl-Trek – before the finish. Jermaine Zemke achieved the best result of the day. The 20-year-old sprinted to fifth place on the fourth stage from a group of around ten riders. He also achieved another good result on the final stage, finishing tenth. In the general classification, Johannes Adamietz finished 21st behind overall winner Gregor Mühlberger (Decathlon-CMA CGM), making him the best-placed German.
From Wednesday, Team REMBE® rad-net women will also be back on the international circuit, as they line up for the Baloise Ladies Tour (UCI 2.1) in Belgium. The women will also face strong teams there, such as Canyon-Sram, Lidl-Trek, Visma-Lease a Bike and SD Worx-Protime, led by superstar Lotte Kopecky. “Nevertheless, we don’t intend to sit back and will be looking to make our mark on the stages,” said André Korff, sporting director of Team REMBE® rad-net.
