Silas Koech and Julian Borresch nominated for the national team - participation in the Tour du Loir et Cher in April
The promising talents Silas Koech and Julian Borresch have now been officially nominated for their first appearance in the national team this season. Both Sauerlanders are part of a six-strong U23 selection for the Tour de Loir et Cher. The tour in the Loir et Cher department of the same name consists of 5 stages and takes place at the beginning of April.
The nomination of the two athletes underlines their achievements over the past year and the first weeks of the still young season. Silas Koech and Julian Borresch have distinguished themselves with consistent performances, which prompted the national coach in charge, Ralf Grabsch, to appoint them to the national team. While Silas Koech is currently starting his season in Croatia, Julian Borresch already has racing days in Mallorca, Antalya, Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Tour du Loir et Cher is considered a demanding tour and offers the athletes of the REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerland the opportunity to compete again in an international field and to be recommended for further races in the German colors. "The nomination for the national team is a great honor and a recognition of the hard work and commitment of Silas Koech and Julian Borresch. The Tour du Loir et Cher will be a great opportunity for them to showcase their skills at the highest level," the sporting director of the Sauerländer and Olympic base coach NRW Wolfgang Oschwald comments on the appointment. The REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerland will be starting with two teams at the Istria Spring Trophy and the Tour of Taiwan in the coming days.
