REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team™ Sauerland with a strong performance and top placings at the Tour de Taiwan
The REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerland, led by Julian Borresch, got off to a good start at the Tour de Taiwan. As on the first flat stage, the Sauerlanders were also able to place in the top ten in the second, more demanding stage.
While Dominik Weiss impressed with seventh place at the start in Taipei, Julian Borresch was able to draw attention to himself with eighth place on the second day. Both matches ended with tremors from the home team's perspective. Every time it looked like a podium finish.
At the start of the week, Julian Borresch and Paul Wright are now in sixth and ninth place in the overall standings. The team ranking shows how consistent the overall performance of the Sauerlanders is: here the REMBE Pro Cycling™ team is currently in second place behind Israel Premier Tech. Despite the strong driving style, the on-site sporting director Greg Henderson was self-critical: “Borri crossed the finish line at such a high speed in the sprint. This shows that he could actually have been much further ahead. He should have opened his final much earlier." The tour runs until next Thursday. In addition to Julian Borresch, Dominik Weiss and Paul Wright, Henri Appelbaum and Lennart Voege are also fighting for results. Due to the time difference, Eurosport offers a daily summary around midday.
