Catching up in the Bundesliga - Podium for REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerland - Silas Koech takes 2nd place in the Bundesliga race at Rad am Ring 2024

The upward trend in the Bundesliga continued for the REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerland at "Rad am Ring": With a strong 2nd place, Silas Koech laid the foundation for a good team ranking last Sunday.

The 22-year-old only had to admit defeat to multiple German champion Miguel Heidemann in the exciting final. At the beginning of the race, a four-man leading group including Julian Borresch broke away and tried to decide the 110-kilometer race early on.
However, the field of riders was not satisfied with this situation and brought the group back. There were further attacks after that, which allowed three more riders to break ahead in addition to Heidemann and Koech. The quintet gained almost three minutes on the peloton. In perfect weather conditions, Sauerlander Silas Koech narrowly missed the final attack from winner Miguel Heidemann and sprinted to second place ahead of the other pursuers. In the team ranking, the REMBE Pro Cycling™ Team Sauerland climbed onto the podium for the first time in the 2024 season. At the halfway point of the Bundesliga, the home team is now in third place in the overall ranking.
